Waist: Take the waist measurement at the navel level, ensuring a snug fit. This is typically about 2 inches above the hip bone or slightly higher than where you usually wear your trousers.
Hip: Stand with your feet together and measure around the widest part of your hips. Make sure your pockets are empty, though it's not essential.
Fell: This measurement should be taken midway between the waist and the seat (bottom). The fell refers to the distance from the waistline to the hip measurement line. It is not essential.
Length: Kneel on the ground, place the measuring tape on the floor, and measure up to your belly button. Keep in mind that kilts shouldn't be too long!
Neck: Measure around the base of the neck.
Shoulder: Measure from the top of one shoulder at the sleeve joint to the other shoulder at the sleeve joint.
Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest along the center line while standing straight.
Sleeve: Measure from the sleeve joint to the wrist point.
Back Length: Measure from the bony protrusion at the base of the neck straight down the middle of the back to the level of the knuckles when arms are relaxed.
Height: Measure from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet while standing straight.
